On Sunday, April 12, Hilversum will be the ultimate stage for running and walking fun during the 22st edition of the KiKa Hilversum City Run! Before the runners take off, walkers will already be setting their first steps in the Hilversum Walk, exploring the charm of the city center and the lush surrounding area. The runners' course passes iconic locations like the Media Park, through the characteristic neighborhoods of 't Gooi, and along the vibrant squares in the heart of Hilversum. Along the way, musical performances will provide an extra boost of energy, all the way to the finish line at the bustling Market Square, where a cheering crowd awaits. With thousands of participants of all ages and abilities, this is the largest one-day sporting event in Het Gooi and beyond!

10 km

The 10 km is the main distance of the KiKa Hilversum City Run. The route takes you straight through the city centre and the characteristic leafy neighbourhoods, passing highlights such as the Media Park and the iconic Sound & Vision building. You’ll experience Hilversum at its best: atmospheric streets, lively squares and a gently rolling course that keeps you challenged. Along the way, enthusiastic supporters, live music and festive hotspots provide an extra boost, a real running experience for every participant.

5 km

The 5 km is ideal for runners who prefer a shorter distance, or those new to running. This accessible route winds through the heart of Hilversum and offers a fun, sporty lap with all the energy of the vibrant city centre. At the finish, the bustling Marktplein awaits, a place where atmosphere and community come together.

Kids & Family Run (800 m / 1.5 km)

For young runners and families, there is the enjoyable Kids & Family Run. Children aged 4–6 can take on the 800 m course, while children aged 7–12 (or families) can enjoy the 1.5 km distance. It’s a great first running experience, with a fun medal, refreshments at the finish and plenty of cheering from the crowd. Families, strollers and even wheelchairs are welcome in the Family Run: everyone can join, run together and enjoy the day.
